Senior engineer, not a help desk

I’m Scott Slagle — a Senior IT Manager with twenty-plus years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and AI systems. My day job is leading systems and security administration for a multi-location retail organization — corporate offices, distribution centers, and stores across multiple states.

I architect and operate the platforms my team depends on: Active Directory and identity at scale, virtualization on Proxmox and VMware, hybrid environments spanning on-prem and Azure, SQL Server, networking, PCI compliance, disaster recovery, and the AI infrastructure my org runs internally — including local LLM deployments, model orchestration, and FastAPI-driven agent platforms built on GPU-accelerated hosts.

Before that I taught Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, and network administration at the college level — so I know how to explain what’s actually happening, not just what to click. I’m finishing a B.S. in Computer Science (GPA 3.99, expected April 2026) with plans to continue into a master’s program.
